The Dorpshuis Hotel, situated in the town of Stellenbosch - the city of Oaks, is a charming & elegant Victorian Country House which has been furnished with original antiques throughout. The hotel offers every modern amenity you would expect from a 4 star establishment.


The hotel is managed by a husband and wife team, Wolfgang & Anneli Striebeck and under their guidance they have turned the hotel back into a first choice establishment. The Dorpshuis offers the convenience of strolling around this historic town at your leisure and is the perfect base from which to savour the delights of the Stellenbosch Wine Route.



This unique hotel, simply known as Dorpshuis is a haven of peace for the weary traveller. Tucked away, yet just a stroll from the centre of Stellenbosch, a town with history, picture perfect and oak lined streets, Dorpshuis is the perfect location to explore the beauty of the surrounding country side.



This elegant Victorian Style Country Hotel has 22 rooms which are all individually decorated and furnished with antiques. The 7 luxury Suites boast spacious and individually decorated accommodation with twin or double beds, a separate lounge offering extra comfort as well as an own private patio. The 15 standard rooms contain all the modern conveniences you would expect in a four star hotel. Uniquely furnished with antiques each room has its own distinct character and individual look. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms with bath and shower, air-conditioning, hairdryer, TV with DSTV and a German channel, some also have a mini bar fridge (stocked on request)

Dining & Entertainment
The classic, fully licensed Restaurant the "Oak-leaf" serves A la Carte Dinners and offers traditional South African fare such as Cape Malay Bobotie, Chicken Pie, Steak and Curries, dishes that will delight the palates of the most discerning patrons. Light meals are available throughout the day and our bar service is available on a 24 hour basis.
