The Lofts

The Lofts Boutique Hotel is hidden away in the Boatshed, on Thesen Islands, a mere couple of feet from the water's edge.

These luxury Loft rooms offer the discerning guest a combination of luxurious living and breathtaking views over the scenic Knysna lagoon.


Furnished with thoughtful touches guests enjoy an innovative ambience providing a unique experience.

A heated swimming pool & martini bar lounge, beauty spa and specialised shopping on the waters edge of the Knysna Lagoon.

Unfortunately The Lofts Boutique Hotel is not suitable for physically challenged guests

Loft Rooms:
Accommodation consists of three lagoon luxury lofts and 9 standard luxury lofts, plus one self-catering apartment which all have the following:-

• Under-floor heating, fans and air conditioning
• Satellite TV incl. sport-, & movie channels
• Telephone / Hairdryers / Tea / Coffee-making facilities
• Luxury linen and bathroom amenities
• Fully-stocked mini bars and personal digital safes
• Rooms are non-smoking but smoking allowed on decks

Lagoon Luxury Lofts provide guests with breathtaking views over the tranquil lagoon area. Quality fabrics and furnishing ensure that you experience the ultimate accommodation. The open plan bathroom, a his and hers shower together, adds to the magnificent all-round ambience. Views all over the lagoon, boats and mountains.

Standard Luxury Lofts are individually decorated with pastel colours combined with pale white creams provides guests with a true Luxurious “Boatshed” experience. Each has Bathroom with shower and a Balcony with loungers.

Dining:
The Lofts does not have restaurant facilities but issue a voucher for breakfast at Ile de Pain next door, where you get a beautiful true honest breakfast in relaxed sophisticated style. It is famous for serving delectable dishes combined with the freshest, local ingredients.

Think Mediterranean-inspired lunches, with ingredients such as balsamic caramelised onion and garlic chilli mayo.

Freshly-baked croissants, magnificent sourdough bread and pastries will tempt you, as will the unique, local cheeses, great espresso coffee, and the fresh fruit salad with mint and lemongrass syrup.

There are some excellent restaurants very close by like Zachary's at Pezula. A contemporary classic restaurant that has their own organic gardens and of course the bounty of sea products available in this area along the Garden Route.

Another gem of a restaurant in this neck of the woods is Firefly Eating House where hip mother-and-daughter team Dell and Sanchia Hadlow wow pilgrims with their unique offering of glorious spice-inspired food in an intoxicating setting.

A little cottage on the hillside is home to this teeny restaurant. Step through the fairylit gate into a world of Edith Piaf, a garden of twinkling lights and squashy sofas on the veranda. Pre-dinner cocktails are served on silver trays decorated with just-picked blooms and set the scene for a decadent evening of flavour exquisite presentation all round.
