Each De Luxe coach has four suites that measure 4 x 2 metres. Of of these contains a double bed and a three-quarter size bath tub with handheld shower, while the others have twin beds with showers.

The Blue Train schedule generally has weekly departures Pretoria to CapeTown and Cape Town to Pretoria, a 1660 km (804 miles) journey through some of South Africas most spectacular scenery.

On the Southbound jorney departing from Pretoria, a stopover and excursion is made at Kimberley to experience the bygone days of the diamond rush.

Travelling Northbound from Cape Town the off-train excursion includes a stop at the Lord Milner Hotel in Maatjiesfontein where you can experience the nostalgia of the Victorean era complete with London lamposts.
